Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of February 4 and claims of $58,640.19 were approved, 3–0 (Cabrera/Whitmore).

Treasurer Sandra Koll presented the quarterly investment report; county funds are invested in insured certificates of deposit and the state investment pool with an average yield of 4.6%.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to approve the Assessor's recommendation on a disputed property valuation abatement. Carried 3–0.

The Board held a first reading of the commercial wind energy ordinance. Supervisor Whitmore proposed setback amendments. Item continued to the next meeting for a second reading.

Four residents addressed the Board during public comment on the wind ordinance.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 10:22 a.m..
