Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Minutes of January 7 and claims of $92,441.08 were approved on a motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, 3–0.

Assessor Owen Brady presented the 2025 assessment calendar and noted that agricultural productivity values set by the state would increase modestly. Assessment notices will be mailed April 1.

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to adopt Resolution 2025-03, authorizing an operating transfer of $250,000 from the General Basic Fund to the Secondary Roads Fund. Roll call: Ostergaard–aye, Whitmore–aye, Cabrera–aye. Carried 3–0.

The Board set a FY2026 budget workshop for January 28 at 1:00 p.m.

Resident T. Halvorsen asked about the status of the Timberline Trail extension; Chair Ostergaard referred the question to the Conservation Director.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:52 a.m..
