Minutes

The Bancroft County Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9:00 a.m. in the Supervisors' Room of the courthouse. Chair Ostergaard called the meeting to order.

Present: Supervisors Ostergaard, Whitmore, and Cabrera. Also present: County Auditor Gene Prewitt, recording.

Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to approve the agenda as presented. Carried 3–0.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to approve the minutes of December 17, 2024. Carried 3–0.

The Board conducted its annual organizational business. Motion by Cabrera, seconded by Whitmore, to elect Marian Ostergaard as Chair and Dell Whitmore as Vice Chair for 2025. Carried 3–0. Committee assignments were confirmed: Ostergaard — Regional Planning Commission; Whitmore — Secondary Roads and Landfill Commission; Cabrera — Public Health and Mental Health Region.

County Engineer Paul Vandenberg reported that December snow events required 14 call-outs and that the department remained within its winter maintenance budget. He noted two graders were due for scheduled service.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to approve claims in the amount of $148,206.14. Carried 3–0.

No public comment was offered.

Motion by Whitmore, seconded by Cabrera, to adjourn. Motion carried 3–0. Meeting adjourned at 9:41 a.m..
